Family and Relationships (24th October 2010)

Faiths in Sussex and SEEFF organised a conference on 24th October that highlighted the importance of family ties as stressed by all faiths, specially in today's difficult financial & social times at a global level. Speakers included Henna Khan (Muslim faith), Nigel Cohen (Jewish faith), Richard Heybroek (Nichiren Buddhist) and Rev. Malcolm Liles (Christian faith) who provided an overview of the support available for families & relationships in different faiths.  This was followed by interactive small group discussions and an insightful Q&A session that allowed participants to further explore the theme of the day.

Festival of Dialogue

The focus of this Festival of Dialogue 2010 was influences - ways in which society influences faith, and how faith and faith communities can influence society in a positive way.

The Festival of Dialogue 2010 culminated in an evening conference and exhibition held at the Iqra School in Slough during the last week of October. Prior to this, discussion toolkits were made available for groups to work with, feeding back their results, thoughts and discussions to the conference. Click below for the full report.
