Faiths in Action grant funding programme - Round 2

Grants of up to £6,000 are available to support a wide variety of local inter faith activities in a range of community settings, including innovative new ideas as well as ‘tried and tested’ approaches. Applications will continue to be considered until the Government's £2 million investment for round 2 is used up. Mustard Seed Grants

"Provide grants to enable churches and faith-based organisations to engage in social action through supporting them to initiate or develop community work. This work will the enable groups to either undertake larger pieces of work or significantly improve the existing provision."

Grassroots Grants Scheme

If your group ticks all the boxes, then you could apply for a Grassroots Grant of L250 - L5000

  • A not-for-profit voluntary or community group in England
  • Led by volunteers
  • Active in local community 12 months or more
  • Average income (over three years) of less than L30,000 per year
  • Works for the benefit of your local community 
     

 
Allen Lane Foundation Grants Programme (UK)

The Allen Lane Foundation makes grants to not for profit organisations that work towards improving the lives of and integrating groups of people who are unpopular in UK society today. This includes;

  • asylum-seekers and refugees (but not groups working with a single nationality)
  • gay, lesbian, bi-sexual or transgender people
  • gypsies and travellers
  • offenders and ex-offenders
  • older people
  • people from black and minority ethnic communities and migrant workers
  • people experiencing mental health problems
  • people experiencing violence or abuse
The Foundation will make grants towards start-up, core or project costs. The grants range from one off grants of between L500 and L15,000 or grants of between L500 and L5,000 per year for up to three years. Applications can be made at any time.
